February 2014 Currently

I haven't done one of these in a while. However, with multiple snow days on my hands, I have no excuse! It's also the middle of the month, but whatever. Link up here: Farley's Blog

I don't feel that there's anything questionable in this edition.
I am LOVING everything about Janelle Monae! She's amazing! Hope that make it to one of her concerts on day....yeah, bucket list!
We've used all of our snow days and then some. It never snows this much in the south. Hopefully, all will be forgiven. I was so looking for to some long weekends this spring, but mother nature has other plans.
My coffee pot broke two weeks ago. Not sure how, but it was not a good day. I just unpacked my new system and I LOVE it! It's red and shiny and programmable. Such a good decision!
Wanting & Needing...Seriously want to bake some cookies, but I don't think I'll show any self-restraint when they're done. I'm getting cabin fever and really need to workout/ move more. I really don't like being sedentary. I have been going to Zumba at a studio in town in love it. Hopefully, the roads will be cleared by Friday and I can go out and shake off this snow day weight I might be gaining.
Lastly....
TRUTH: I am a salsa dancer. Love the dance. Love the people. Love the music.
FALSE: I hate mushrooms and I hate ravioli. the end.
TRUTH: I really do want to be a party/ wedding planner...one day. Unfortunately, rural SC isn't the place to hone those skills.

CHEERS TO SNOW DAYS!

  1. I bet you are experiencing the same snow that I am in eastern North Carolina. We are on the third snow day this week for students. Teachers went to work on Tuesday but they sent us home within two hours. I am really hoping that our make up days will be Saturdays not our spring break.

Enjoy your snow days, I am thinking we will have another one tomorrow but nothing official yet.

    1. Yep...same snow storm! This will bring our grand total up to 6 snow days this year (including tomorrow). I really hope all if forgiven or we just use our 3 built in snow days. I'll hope for no Saturdays or Spring Break make ups for the both of us!

  2. I was an office manager at a banquet hall when I was younger for about 5 years. It was a very awesome and rewarding experience! I was not only in charge of the office duties and booking events, I even helped work the events and helped the bride/groom/party guest plan their event. (Timelines, menus, decorations, etc.) It was an experience that I'll never forget. I was able to be a part of someone's special day, and I'm grateful for every experience that I had! I've even thought about doing that part time...maybe one wedding at a time, while teaching. Honestly, I loved every minute of it!

    1. Sounds fun! In college, I helped cater and bar tend at weddings. I LOVED it! I even managed to impress a florist with my skills.

  3. i don't know what I'd do without my coffee machine... then again its a hand-me-down, older than my kid brother and he's 21! Maybe my machine should meet a convenient end so I can have an excuse to buy a pretty new red one for my themed out red kitchen! OHHH LALA! lol... I LOVE salsa dancing... it is so unfortunate that as a Boricua I have little to no rhythm! :(
